1. Open front door of the N2200.
2. For 3.5” HDDs
a. Remove the HDD tray
b. Get the HDD tray, remove failed hard disk(s) and install new hard
disk(s).
c. Slide hard disks into the N2200 until they snap into place.
3. For 2.5” HDDs
a. Remove the 2.5” HDD tray
b. Remove failure hard disk
c. Install new HDD on to the hard HDD tray
d. Slide into HDD tray till it snap into place.
RAID Auto-Rebuild
When using RAID 1 on the N2200, you can use the auto-rebuild function when an
error is detected.
1. When a hard disk fails the system beeps and/or an email notification is sent
to specified recipients.
2. Check the LCD to see which disk has failed.
3. Follow the steps mentioned above to replace the failed hard disk.
4. The system automatically recognizes the new hard disk and starts the
auto-rebuild sequence to resume its status before the hard disk crash.
